Our Town Weekly Map
June 5–11, 2026
The Weekend Starts Here

In this issue:
• Garage sales and sales stops
• Weekend events and youth sports
• City Council and local meetings
• Free lunches for Rusk ISD students
• VBS and church events
• A quick look at next weekend

Jacksonville has never had a shortage of things people are talking about. The problem is finding the useful parts when you need them. A garage sale gets dropped in a comment. A church posts a flyer. A city meeting sits on a calendar most people never check. Someone mentions a fundraiser. Somebody else asks what there is for kids to do. Then the next argument rolls through the group and everything useful gets buried. That is what Jacksonville TX: Our Town is trying to fix. Not by making the group polished. Not by turning it into a chamber page. Not by pretending Jacksonville is something it is not. The group is still the group. The job here is to take the useful part and make it easier to find. That is the point of the Our Town Weekly Map. The map is the tool. This rundown is the guide. The group is where the information starts.

This issue runs Friday, June 5 through Thursday, June 11. The weekend stuff is up front, then the next few days are behind it. At the end, there is a short On the Radar section for the following weekend only — Friday through Sunday. It is not everything. It is what I have so far. If something is missing, send it in with the date, time, address, and flyer if you have one.
